NEW REPLACEMENT COLUMBIA BV PHONOGRAPH RUBBER DRIVE BELT

This is a rubber drive belt that will work on the Columbia BV phonograph. I don’t deal in Columbia products normally, but one of my Edison customers had one and asked me to help him find a belt for it and I found a belt that worked nicely on that model. I picked up some spares in case anyone else needs belts for the same machine. I do not carry belts for any other Columbias, sorry. I did try years ago to carry belts for Columbia machines, but they just didn’t sell and there was no market for them so I dropped it and stuck to Edisons. This is the only Columbia belt I carry. These are far better than leather belts. Leather belts may be original, but they don’t run smoothly, loosen in cold, shrink in heat, crack, and slip more easily if oil gets on them. Plus, this throw-on belt saves you the hassle of measuring, gluing and/or sewing together. I’ve been using them for years, haven’t had to replace one yet, and love their performance. But don’t just take my word for it–here’s what some of my customers have said about these belts: You would not believe what the English climate can do to machines, let alone to its own devices for a century or more. I have used your belts for 5 or 6 years now, and there has never been a better method of doing the job. The improvement and ease of operation, reliability and constancy of speed is almost unbelievable, and you can stick that on your website with my compliments. I ordered a leather belt but the glue made a lump. My wife stitched it together but it still doesn’t work smoothly. I can’t believe I’ve been suffering with a leather belt all these years! Cool works great. Arrived as described. Thanks!! This rubber belt works perfectly with my Edison Standard Model B. Great!!! If you have a Model D or E and are unsure how to change the belt, you simply loosen the screw to the mandrel drive pulley. This will allow you to slide the shaft over to the right and thus open a hole to remove the old belt and then position the new. Only takes about 30 seconds. Just don’t lose the screw! Then slide the mandrel back all the way to the left, slide the mandrel pulley back to its original position and tighten that down. Then slip the belt onto the top pulley and you’re set. If the belt should ever slip off while running, by the way, this means the pulleys are misaligned. Typically you must loosen the bottom pulley and slide it to the right or left until the condition stops PLEASE IGNORE REFERENCES TO “FREE 4 DAY SHIPPING”!! I didn’t write that–Ebay generates that. It ALWAYS takes longer than 4 days to get these. Cross country typically takes a week-10 days depending on USPS. In fact, I list ECONOMY SHIPPING, which has a 9 day shipping time, just to be safe, but Ebay seems to think that means just 4 days! You’d need Priority Mail for a 4 day shipping time. Figure at least a week. Otherwise, shipping is free in a letter envelope w/no tracking. Tracking would add FIVE DOLLARS to the order . Foreign orders must pay $20 due to USPS recent outrageous and obscene price raise for foreign shipping + I am charged a 10% fee for the shipping charges on top of that to boot! My apologies for that.
