Neoflam is a Korean brand that manufactures aluminum cookware coated with their patented Ecolon nonstick coating. This coating is made from natural minerals and inorganic materials, not the PTFE or PFOA chemicals used in traditional Teflon nonstick. The body of Neoflam pans is made from die-cast aluminum, an excellent conductor of heat that allows for quick, even cooking. While raw aluminum can be reactive, Neoflam coats their pans to prevent the aluminum from leaching into food. On top of the aluminum base is Neoflam’s Ecolon coating. This nonstick surface is applied in 3 layers and contains no PTFE or PFOA chemicals associated with health dangers.
