Up for sale, a Kingsley Hot Foil Stamping machine OEM air compressor. I acquired this a few years back along with a Kingsley Hot Foil machine. The compressor had some minor issues and is EXTREMELY heavy so I separated the stamper from the compressor unit intending to sell the compressor later. (and the time has finally come now a few years later…..) So, what I’ve noticed over the last few years…. the hot foil stamper machines seem to be relatively common, literally hundreds have sold over the last 4-5 years. As for the compressors, I have only seen 1 in that time that has sold on eBay and was only available for local pickup. They seem quite rare (or aren’t desired due to the availability of cheaper options, perhaps). As for this unit, is has been listed under “parts or repair”. When I initially plugged in the unit the motor would not turn the compressor pulley. I switched it off, removed the belt guard and manually rotated the compressor pulley (then re-assembled). It then took off normally. So, with that matter resolved I waited to feel air pressure coming from the hose. Unfortunately, nothing. One of the valves must be stuck in the plumbing. I removed the hard line from the top of the compressor itself and air is popping out there (so there is no serious mechanical fault as far as I can tell). It appears that somewhere in the lines and valves the air is escaping. I’ve had to repair my own garage compressor and I recall the part being really nominal in cost ($3-4 dollars). I expect something similar is going to be required here. Cosmetics are decent, it does show its age a bit but general condition looks fine. Lastly, this unit is EXTREMELY heavy as I noted before. Unpacked it is 65 pounds, so it will likely be 80+ pounds securely boxed. Hence, the high shipping costs. Anything over 50 pounds incurs a penalty via FedEx currently, nearly doubling their normal shipping rates. Sold strictly AS-IS, it will need minor work prior to reliable service (with my observations noted above). US bidders/buyers only please. This will ship tracked and insured.
