Hedgehog Figurines Pair of 2 Studio Art Pottery Clay Hedgehogs HANDMADE Vintage

The set includes one large and one small hedgehog head. Neither hedgehog head as an artist name, makers mark and/or brand. I purchased these pieces at a craft show in New Braunsfels, Texas back in the 1970’s. These hedgehog heads are handmade out of kiln-fired clay and appear to have been hand painted pieces as well. The larger of the two hedgehog heads weighs approximately 7.0 ounces and measures approximately 3.0” long, 2.25” wide and 2.0” high. The smaller head weighs approximately 4.0 ounces and measures approximately 2.50” long, 2.0” wide and 1.50” high. Please refer to description photos # 10 and # 11 to confirm the size dimensions and for more details about what I have described. This set of vintage pottery hedgehog heads have been gently used as display pieces for the past 40+ years. There is no damage, cracks and/or repair to either piece as can be confirmed in the description photos. There are a few white spots that can be seen on the surface of the hedgehog’s heads; these spots are not chips or damage the spots are tiny paint splatters of white enamel that was used to fill in some of the crevices between the fur/hair lines. If you look closely at the description photos you can see the white enamel in between some of the fur/hair lines. Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the hedgehog heads and for more details about what I have described. Overall, each hedgehog head may have a few areas of minor surface blemishes from honest age and handling over the years but nothing that overly detracts from the esthetics of the pieces. Each head displays beautifully and will compliment your décor in any room and/or setting.
