Aurora T-Jet Cougar HO Slot Car Runner. Black early release Cougar with solid front valance, it has cut wheel wells, missing both windshield posts, the windows are reproduction. The front and rear chrome appears original to the car, but both are worn, and they appear re-melted back in to the body. The body has playwear and the roof is all scratched up. The front screw post was cracked but was glued and clamped and the screw tightens fine, the rear screw post is fine.The chassis is an Aurora T-jet open rivet chassis ( that used to be a flame thrower), it runs smoothly when tested on a 9 volt battery. It has an independent front end, and flange rear wheels with silicone tires. The top gear plate has the leading edges of the ridges on the sides cut off. This always was a strong runner, but hasn’t been raced for many years and should be gone over before racing. The rear screw post is cracked but the screws tighten fine, the front screw post is cut shorter. Was always a fast car that handled well, just needs to be freshened up. Great looking runner.
