Pair of rare Danish Christmas Seals (“JULEN”) from 1904, the very first year of their issuance. These seals were introduced to raise funds for tuberculosis treatment and are historically significant as the origin of the global Christmas Seal tradition. The design features an ornate floral Art Nouveau frame in rich purple tones, surrounding an oval portrait of Crown Prince Christian (later King Christian X of Denmark). Below the portrait is the Danish coat of arms with three lions. One seal is postmarked, adding historical context to its usage, while the other remains unused.
